The Sound of Serenity: Acoustic & Sound Design

In today’s bustling cities, silence is the ultimate luxury. Yet, modern homes—with their large glass windows, tiled floors, and concrete walls—are often echo chambers that amplify noise rather than absorb it. At Niharvik Construction, we believe your home should be a sanctuary, not a source of stress. Our Acoustic & Sound Design service integrates technical sound management into the architectural fabric of your home.

We tackle sound in two ways: Soundproofing (blocking external noise like traffic or neighbors) and Acoustic Treatment (controlling internal sound quality). Whether you are building a professional-grade Home Theater that needs cinema-quality audio without disturbing the rest of the house, or a Home Office that requires absolute quiet for focus, we have the solution.

Why Choose Acoustic & Sound Design?

1. Privacy & Discretion Thin walls are a common complaint in modern construction. We use specialized layering techniques in our walls and doors to ensure conversations stay private—whether it is a confidential work call in the study or personal time in the bedroom.

2. The Ultimate Entertainment Experience A high-end TV is useless if the room echoes. For movie buffs and audiophiles, we design rooms that “clean up” the sound, ensuring crisp dialogue and deep bass, just like a commercial cinema.

3. Focus & Productivity With the rise of Work-From-Home (WFH), noise distractions are a productivity killer. Our acoustic treatment reduces reverberation and blocks household noise, creating a professional, studio-quiet environment for your meetings.

4. Health & Well-being Chronic noise pollution raises stress levels and disrupts sleep. By significantly reducing the decibel levels entering your home, we create a calmer, healthier environment that promotes deep rest and relaxation.

Soundproofing stops sound from entering or leaving a room (e.g., blocking traffic noise). Acoustic Treatment improves the sound inside the room (e.g., stopping echoes in a home theater). We often do both.

No. Modern acoustic panels come in beautiful fabrics, wood slats, and artistic shapes that look like high-end wall decor. Most of our soundproofing materials (like insulation) are hidden inside the walls, so you won’t see them at all.

Yes. We can add “secondary glazing” to windows to block street noise or install decorative acoustic panels on existing walls to reduce echo. For heavier soundproofing, we might build a thin “false wall” in front of the existing one.

Not at all. We highly recommend acoustic design for Bedrooms (for better sleep) and Living Rooms (to stop the “echo” effect of tiled floors). It makes the whole house feel solid, premium, and peaceful.
